The lecturer who juries at a speech contest📝

Assalammualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh🙏

Today on October 26th, 2017, my campus held a "Speech Contest" that can be followed by every faculty at the University of Lancang Kuning. This speech contest was held in front of the canteen of the University of Lancang Kuning by using a stage and several tents. Participants are allowed to join only students in 1st semester and 3rd semester. Each course in each faculty should include 2 people.  And already determined 4 topics that must be chosen by each participant to be displayed on the speech contest, the topic is :
1) The impact of smarthphone towards students' way of learning
2) Bullying among students
3) Communism from students' perspective
4) English for my future

One of the participants of the speech contest was my best friend named Nunung Susilo Putri. She got number 17 out of 22 participants who attended a speech contest to perform on stage. And she will show the topic about "Bullying Among Students".

The speech contest starts at 8 am, and I have classes to attend at 8 am to 10 am. After the first class I finished, I waited for the lecturers to come to the next class. My next class is Introduction to Literature with lecturer named Mr. Budianto Hamuddin. When Mr. Budi had entered the class, he told us to attend the speech contest and support our friends who participated in the event. I feel very happy, not because the lecture is canceled but because I can see the appearance of my bestfriend and support her. I and our friends immediately rushed to the venue and worried that my best friend had appeared and I could not see it.

Setibanya saya disana, betapa beruntungnya saya karena baru saja saya menginjakkan kaki di halaman depan kantin tempat acara dilaksanakan dipanggillah peserta nomor urut 17 dengan nama Nunung Susilo Putri. Saya langsung berlari kearah pentas dan menyiapkan kamera hp saya untuk mengambil beberapa video dan foto ketika teman saya tampil di atas pentas. Kami semua bertepuk tangan dan meneriakkan nama Nunung untuk menyemangatinya, "Go Nunung Go Nunung Go!!! Go Nunung Go Nunung Go!!!".

Nunung tampil sedikit nerveous di atas pentas, tapi menurut saya over all dia sudah berusaha menampilkan yang terbaik pada saat itu. Melihatnya tampil di atas pentas, membicarakan permasalahan tentang Bullying Among Students membuat saya kagum. Dia yang awalnya pemalu dan menyembunyikan kecerdasannya selama ini, perlahan telah menunjukkan keberaniannya dan keaktifannya kepada semua teman-teman meskipun tetap dengan ciri khasnya yang suka demam panggung dan membuat bibir serta tangannya bergetar tiap kali harus tampil di depan banyak orang.

Sampailah ke puncak acara yaitu pengumuman pemenang Speech Contest. Meskipun Nunung temanku tidak menjadi pemenang pada hari ini, tetapi bagiku dia sudah mendapatkan kemenangan tersendiri dari dalam dirinya karna sudah mencoba berani untuk tampil dihadapan semua orang yang hadir pada saat itu. Tidak peduli menang atau kalah, yang penting kita sudah berani tampil dan mendapatkan pengalaman yang sangat berharga.

Keep the spirit of my best friend, believe me one day you will become champion💪 We will fight with other friends to show our creativity and deserve to get a bachelor's degree. Every experience that we get will make us more confidence and passion towards success. We will be friends forever👭💕
